Concert in aid of St Cadoc's Church, Caerleon
The concert in St Cadoc's Church, Caerleon on Friday 19th September was a great experience, very successful and well-received.
Over £1,000 was raised in aid of St Cadoc's Restoration Fund.

This ancient church has recently undergone a major refurbishment that has taken it straight into the 21st Century. Inside the church, all is spacious, bright and clean with beautiful new timbers, clear glass and comfortable seating.
At the west end of the church there is now a well equipped kitchen and serving area with room for various community activities.
Cwmbran Baroque Singers are very fortunate to be numbered among the organisations to have been offered the chance to perform in these wonderful surroundings, with their excellent acoustic.
We sang a selection of our shorter pieces there and were delighted to learn that over £1,000 has now boosted church funds.
The ancient church of St Cadoc in Caerleon is built on the site of the Roman fortress's Principia, or Headquarters, where the Roman Legionary standards were kept and statues of the Roman emperors venerated.
The building we see today is not Roman, of course, but dates from mediaeval times. St Cadoc, patron saint of the church, was a travelling holy man of the 5th or 6th century AD.
